A website operated by a merchant, sponsored merchant, payment facilitator, high-brand risk merchant, high-brand risk sponsored merchant, or high-brand risk payment facilitator must contain specific disclosure details.

All merchants with processing activity classified as eCommerce transactions, which includes in-app / embedded payments, must be compliant with Card Brand (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover) website disclosures, including:

 

  1. Card Brand Logos (in full color)

  2. Legal/Age Restrictions (if applicable)

  3. Explanation of transaction processed (complete description of the goods or services offered)

  4. Return/Refund policy (even if no refunds are accepted, it must be specified: example due to services rendered, no refunds are allowed)

  5. Customer Service Contact (including e-mail address or telephone number)

  6. Address of the merchant’s permanent establishment (including the merchant outlet Country (Country Code) indicating where the transaction is processed during the checkout process)

  7. Transaction Currency (ie, US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, etc)

  8. Delivery policy (if applicable)

  9. Consumer Data / Privacy Policy / Information Security Policy
