How to Process Data Extraction
A guide to how the data extraction works and steps to take:
Introduction
Payrix is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 – this is the highest level of compliance for the industry’s mandate on secure storage, processing and transmission of data. We have an obligation to protect cardholder data and prevent its unauthorised use.
There may be instances when data needs to be transferred between Payrix and a third-party such as another payment service provider. To ensure this process is PCI DSS compliant, data can be encrypted using the new payment providers’ public key.
Payrix can encrypt data and upload it to a secure file sharing service. A third-party can then download and decrypt the data.
At Payrix, only authorised staff can access data during the data transfer process.
Steps to take
Provide Payrix with your Business ID, PGP Key, and the new payment providers Attestation of Compliance (AOC). Both PGP Key and AOC should be available from the new payment provider.
Payrix will also request the date you require the transfer. Please note data extractions take between 5 and 10 business days.
After Extraction
After the data has been extracted your Payrix Account Manager will be in contact with a URL where the encrypted data can be downloaded from.
Your new payment provider will then be able to decrypt the data.
